CANAL9 on air with GigaContent

Denmark's new big sports TV channel CANAL9 is in on the air, and
again GigaContent is providing the solutions: CANAL9 will from the
start use GigaContents leading and unique GigaBroadcast solution to
provide Danish football fans with a large selection of games from
the Danish premier league - the SAS Liga.
- We are very pleased to have CANAL9 as a new customer. The new
agreement shows that GigaContent already has become an
indispensable part of the technical core of Danish broadcast media.
And it is a confirmation that all quality and cost-conscious
broadcasters prefer a solution from GigaContent, says VP of sales
and marketing for GigaContent, Jan de Blanck.
CANAL9's GigaBroadcast solution connects CANAL9's headquarters
and main production facility to a range of football stadiums across
the country via GigaContents super fast and fibre-based connections
at a bandwidth of 1G bit. On a 1G bit connection one SD signal and
one lightly compressed HD signal are transmitted to and from the
stadiums. The connections also include intercom and surround-sound
audio in the Dolby 5.1 format.
CANAL9 can be vieved on Canal Digitals network and a number of
