GigaContent to broadcast Afrika NU!
26. august 2011
East Africa has been hit by the worst drought and famine in many
years. That is why Danish Radio (DR) and competitor TV2 television
have come together to create a large-scale live tv-show and
fundraising event for the benefit of the 12 million people who are
suffering in and around the Horn of Africa right now. GigaContent
will be delivering world-class broadcast technology so that the
live pictures from show - which will air tomorrow 28. august at 8
pm - reaches all tv viewers in Denmark.
GigaContent has been quick in installing new broadcast
connections to UNICEF's huge storage facility for emergency aid in
Copenhagen Harbour. The new connection allows TV2 to send live from
the big television event. The signal is then transmitted on to DR
for the common broadcast.
- We have been extremely fast in establishing the new broadcast
connections to the UNICEF building. It was important that we moved
quickly on this because the need from TV2 and DR arose suddenly.
And we are of course happy to be able to support this excellent
fundraising event in this way, says VP Sales for GigaContent, Jan
de Blanck.
