GlobalConnect og Energi Fyn create GigaContent

Denmark needs a range of innovative new solutions that will
revolutionize the way media and other companies work with video
content in HD and SD. That's why Global Connect and Energy Fyn
today have formed the company Giga Content.
- With GigaContent we have opened up for a whole new range of
opportunities for the Danish media industry. Firstly, GigaContent
makes it much easier for broadcasters to transmit content in full
HD quality. A lot of broadcasters have been waiting for this.
Secondly, GigaContent's mission is to create an environment making
it easier for producers of content and broadcasters to work
together. Thirdly, GigaContent makes it possible for other major
companies, such as banks and industrial corporations, to create and
deliver their own live video content in a very efficient way, says
the CEO of GlobalConnect, Niels Zibrandtsen.
GigaContent's services uses GlobalConnect's and Energy Fyn's
extensive optical fibre networks to transmit large amounts of data
quickly, safely, and efficiently. The creation of GigaContent means
that attractive content from a range of the most important
stadiums, sports facilities, theaters, live venues, and more is on
its way to Danish consumers in full HD quality.
