MGP Nordic fra Musikhuset Aarhus via GigaContent
29. November, 2008
Danmarks Radio will this evening broadcast this year's perhaps
biggest TV event for music-loving children via GigaContent's
network: Nordic MGP with eight finalists will go air at 20:00 on
DR1 live from the Great Hall in the Aarhus Musikhus.
- Nordic MGP is proof that our extensive testing and work to get
the Aarhus Musikhus hooked up effectively to GigaContent's networks
has been a big success. Earlier this year DR used GigaContent to
send the Danish version of the MGP from Musikhuset, and now we're
ready to transmit the international event. We are very pleased that
we can assist in putting Musikhuset in Aarhus on the map as a
preferred venue for culture and events in Scandinavia, says
Technical Director of Giga Content, Brian Slott.
Giga Content has provided a GigaAccess solution connecting the
Danish Radio main facility in Ørestad with Musikhuset in Aarhus
with a 1G bits per second link. That makes DR able to send and
receive two SD signals for further processing and broadcast in the
Nordic region.
