1. november 2010

American football is all about fast-paced action, strong men and hot cheerleaders. In short: NFL is top-notch American sports entertainment culture at its best. And the NFL viewing expernience gets even more exciting when live coverage is projected onto the big screen of the theatre Bremen in Copenhagen.

A couple of hundred Danish NFL fans yesterday had the pleasure of watching the San Francisco 49s run over the Denver Broncos 24-16 in a live transmission from Wembley Stadium in London. The event was a part of main broadcaster TV2 Sport's coverage of the NFL season with hosts Jimmy Bøjgaard and football expert Claus "NFLming" Elming. The broadcast was delivered to the big projection screen in Bremen over the GigaContent media network.

- It's becoming more and more popular to use GigaContent's service to provide events such the one in Bremen with a direct transmission of for example major football games onto a big screen. It gives people a very different experience in sight, sound, and not least socially. It's just a lot more fun to share an evening with lots of friends and many other fans. We're really happy to be part of this trend, says Jan de Blanck, VP Sales fro GigaContent.

The theatre Bremen in Copenhagen is a well-established point-of-event for GigaContent and is in addition to NFL screenings also used for broadcaster TV2's popular comedy show Live from Bremen and comedian Casper Christensen's talkshow "Aloha", which airs on Fridays.
