Queen's 70th birthday on TV2 & GigaContent
April 15th, 2010
The world's perhaps most popular monarch turns seventy this
week, and both TV2 & GigaContent will be on the spot when the
celebrations begin on Friday April 16.
GigaContent will once again make a high speed transmission
connection available to the major Danish broadcaster TV2 for the
transmission of live coverage of the event from Copenhagen City
Hall. The live footage will be sent from City Hall to TV2's main
facility in Odense, from where it will be broadcasted to hundreds
of thousands of Danish TV-viewers via TV2's broadcast
network.
The Queen will be facing a busy day, and as an important part of
her programme she is scheduled to be received at City Hall for
light entertainment, lunch, and of course plenty of congratulations
from the masses. Transmission from the Queen's birthday starts at
11 a.m. on TV2, and the reception at City Hall is scheduled to take
place at approximately 12:45.
- This transmission is another example of our excellent
relationship with TV2, and it shows the many opportunities for
direct transmission inherent in GigaContent's services. Once you
have a GigaContent connection to a significant point-of-event -
such as Copenhagen City Hall - there are few restrictions on what
you can do with it, says VP Sales for Giga Content, Jan de
Blanck.
