
The Oscars live at Imperial with GigaContent

Many hundreds of film fans flocked to Denmark's largest movie
theatre Sunday night to watch and celebrate the annual awarding of
the film industry's most coveted prize. This year GigaContent
provided the transmission services delivering the live HD video
stream to the huge cinematic screen at the Imperial theatre. The
link proceed from TV2's main facility in Odense to Imperial's
facility in central Copenhagen.
Transmission from Hollywood started at midnight with live coverage
of the stars' arrival at the red carpet in front of the Kodak
Theater in Los Angeles, and continued into the early morning hours
with the Academy Awards ceremony. GigaContent's technology worked
perfectly and was instrumental in giving hundreds of fans at the
Imperial movie theatre a very special Oscar Night experience.

During the night TV2's movie channel TV2 Film also
broadcast live comments and interveiws from their special Oscar's
