TV2 & GigaContent will be sending live from COP15
4. December, 2009
The UN's huge conference on how to fight climate change - COP15
- is almost upon us, and GigaContent is in the forefront when it
comes to the transmission of video content directly from what's
perhaps the planet's most important event in recent times.
While politicians and delegates by the thousands are gathered at
the official venue - the Bella Center - Copenhagen Town Hall Square
will without a doubt be the popular center of attention for the
summit.
That's why TV2 News will be sending live news coverage from a
specially built COP15 TV-studio in Town Hall Square every evening
from 20-22.00 hours on GigaContent's network. The anchors Lotte
Mejlhede and Poul Erik Skammelsen will be the hosts on the evening
show.
GigaContent has for the purposes of TV2 News' coverage of the
COP15 event provided a 1 gigabit connection to Copenhagen City
Hall. This connection has been extended to reach TV2's special
summit studio in Town Hall Square. Video feeds from the studio will
be sent on to TV2 News' main facility in Odense via GigaContent's
network, and will then be broadcasts to the Danish viewers.
GigaContent's connection will be active 24/7 allowing the TV2 News
crew to broadcast live from Town Hall Square anytime throughout the
COP15 summit from 7th-18th December. This means that TV2 News will
be able to react quickly to breaking news from COP15.
